Opening a restaurant always includes putting out various fires, such as unexpected turnover and business volume. The hospitality industry in particular comes with many unique challenges. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome? I continue to work at our headquarters in San Diego while earning my MBA at UCSD’s Rady School of Management. I have assisted in various functions of the business from operations to HR, but mainly focus on social media and marketing strategy.

After a couple years in NYC, I decided to return to San Diego to assist our team – including my father, Michael Rosen, who founded The Crack Shack with Top Chef’s Richard Blais – with the opening of the first Crack Shack in Little Italy. My background is mainly in marketing for tech companies, as I interned for LinkedIn and then joined a mobile advertising company in New York. I grew up in San Diego, CA but attended undergrad at Villanova University, just outside of Philadelphia, where I studied Marketing and Psychology.
